Starting school is a big moment in your child’s life. At N Family School, we’re here to support both you and your child, helping you feel confident, prepared, and excited for what comes next.
Our mission is to equip children with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. Through inspiring learning environments and our distinctive educational approach, our Educators partner with families to support school readiness at every stage.
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” — Malcolm X
Our Pre-K curriculum offers a rich and engaging learning experience that supports your child’s growth, confidence, and curiosity, helping them develop the school-ready skills they need as they prepare for their next chapter. Throughout the year at N Family School, children explore engaging themes built around our four N Curriculum pillars: Holistic Health, Self Expression, Global Responsibility, and Inventive Ideas. Our comprehensive approach ensures your child steps into Kindergarten with the confidence, compassion, and critical thinking skills needed to thrive.

Our Inventive Ideas pillar is designed to support your child’s cognitive development while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through activities such as counting, sorting, and recognizing shapes, alongside real-world experiences, children engage with math and science in fun, meaningful, and hands-on ways.

Our phonics curriculum supports early literacy by teaching children how to decode words, recognize letters, understand sounds, and write simple sentences. This strong foundation nurtures language development, expands vocabulary, and supports growing comprehension skills.

Through a thoughtfully selected collection of age-appropriate books, children explore a wide range of stories, develop strong early reading skills, and build a genuine love for reading. To connect learning at Pre-K with home, educators use an N Reading Log to share book selections, important updates, and personalized progress notes with families.
Our Pre-K curriculum is complemented by N School Ready Skills, a year-long program in your child’s final year with us. This program focuses on five essential areas that support academic readiness.

We understand that starting school is about much more than academics. Your child’s emotional well-being and resilience are at the heart of everything we do. In their final year with us, we dedicate time to exploring emotions and supporting children as they navigate the transition from Pre-K to school alongside their peers.
At the same time, we help children build independence skills that are essential for school life. This includes adjusting to larger group settings and developing confidence in everyday routines, similar to what they will experience in kindergarten or early elementary classrooms.
“Children thrive best when their school and family work together in partnership.”

Children will transition to our Pre-K room during the final school year before they are old enough to enroll in Kindergarten.
You’ll receive a Transition Booklet filled with helpful information, including details about your child’s new Primary Educator, classroom Educators, and photos of the new environment. This includes where their peg and cubby will be, where restrooms are located, and what exciting areas they’ll be able to explore.
