In our infant classroom, we combine sensory-rich discovery with personalized care to support physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Our N Curriculum for infants includes:
Emotional literacy and mindfulness
Our focus with the youngest children is on supporting them to form secure relationships with familiar adults through consistent, responsive care.
Your baby will be supported in forming close attachments with their Primary Educator, supported by familiar Educators throughout the day.
Educators will model simple emotional language, supporting your baby to respond to facial expressions, tone of voice, and emotional cues from adults.
Physical health and activity
Your baby will start showing awareness of some of their physical needs, such as hunger or discomfort.
We will use care routines such as bottle feeds and diaper changes to strengthen relationships through consistent, responsive care.
During care routines, we will be focusing on singing songs that involve sensory stimulation, talking about what is happening, and supporting gentle interactions.
Your baby will gradually begin to make more controlled movements and respond to what they hear and see.
Our Physical Activity curriculum helps babies to safely explore the environment around them and learn how they can move their bodies in different ways.
We will be providing lots of opportunities for tummy time and offering learning experiences at floor level for your baby to explore while lying down on their front or back, or seated with appropriate support.
Older infants will be supported, as developmentally appropriate, to crawl, pull to standing, cruise along furniture, and explore supported standing as their confidence grows.
