As children begin their N preschool years, our program supports their growing independence, curiosity, and thinking skills.
Our N Curriculum for preschoolers includes:
Emotional literacy and mindfulness
Our focus is on helping children use a wider range of words to describe feelings and emotions, including angry, upset, sad, happy, excited, calm, and worried.
Your child will learn a variety of strategies and grounding techniques that can help them feel calm and improve their emotional self-regulation.
Physical health and activity
We focus on supporting your child as they develop increasing independence with dressing and undressing.
Your child will build up a stronger awareness of how to keep safe, such as holding and using scissors appropriately.
We introduce the ‘Safety Squad’ to further develop risk management skills.
Physical activity sessions will focus on throwing and catching, navigating obstacles, and a variety of movements such as hopping, skipping, jumping, and slithering.
Your child will be guided in holding a pencil between their thumb and forefinger, while developing greater control and precision.
In early writing experiences, we begin experimenting with symbols and ‘letter-like’ shapes, and your child will be gradually introduced to early letter formation through Doodle Dance as part of their journey toward kindergarten readiness.
Yoga
Your child will now be familiar with a range of yoga poses, and will enjoy playing a variety of games involving different positions. They will understand that poses can be used to represent various things, such as animals.
